Kasual Business, a Bordeaux company that makes mobile apps for the wine sector, will be creating the next app for the Bordeaux Wines Council (CIVB) after the success of its first app - Smart Bordeaux.
Smart Bordeaux, the official Bordeaux wines mobile app, works by the user taking a photo of the Bordeaux wine label using a smart phone for instant information about the producer, the vineyard and reviews.
The app has 16,000 wine records, uploaded directly by Bordeaux wine producers, is available in 13 languages and used in 82 countries by more than 200,000 users on iPhone and Androïd.
Around 10,000 bottles of Bordeaux wine labels are identified each week all over the world using the app.
